Pearl has worked in the arts and as a creative educator for over 30 years and is a sensitive and intuitive counsellor, specialising in the challenges of living openly, as being neurodiverse in a neurotypical, dominated society. Her past work, both paid and voluntary, spans over a wide cross section of individuals and groups, in different locations, including children with special needs, marginalized teenagers, people pleasers with imposter syndrone, helplines, homeless people, refugees, survivors of war and racial hatred, survivors of spiritual abuse and purity culture, marginalized ethnic minority communities and indigenous peoples, musicians and artists with addictions, people coming out of cults and celebrities and international corporate business executives with burn out. In some cases, Pearl uses art, poetry, song, colour and natural environments as part of the therapy. She came across Havening and likes both the simplicity, tactile technique and scientific effectiveness. Along with finding Havening to be a useful tool towards her own healing journey, Pearl incorporates this modal to gently assist others to gain courage, to confront and find release from personal trauma and to start to heal, enabling them to move towards living more fulfilled lives.
